Trebles from Sandall and Lambe-Hyner as table-topping Moulton Harrox Reserves roll on

There looks to be no stopping Moulton Harrox Reserves’ relentless charge towards the ChromaSport PDFL Division One title

Kev Nottingham’s side crushed Riverside 7-1 at Broad Lane on Saturday, thanks to hat-tricks from Martin Sandall and Danny Lambe-Hyner.

Declan Earth also got in on the act as his side remained unbeaten and made it 16 wins from 17.

Ten points behind Harrox are promotion hopefuls Sutton Bridge United, who were 6-1 winners at Baston.

The division’s leading marksman Matt Eaton added four goals to his tally to make it 32 for the season, while Jake Lally and Kurt Scott also notched.

Up in the Premier Division, it was a day to forget for Crowland Town.

They were handed a 10-2 reverse by hosts AFC Stanground Sports, who had both Sam Cross and Dwayne Rankin scoring hat-tricks.

Steve Greenhaigh and Simkus Virginijus did bag to have Crowland bang in the game at 3-2 down at half time on the In2itive Park 3G.

Down in Division Two, Spalding Town picked up a 4-1 success over Leverington Sports at the Castle Sports Complex.

Jonathan Turner, Jack Wycherley, Danny Kingman and Ashley Wilson all netted for Town.

Tydd St Mary, meanwhile, were involved in a six-goal thriller at Langtoft United Reserves. Tim Lowe, Paul Newcombe and Jordan Anslie all scored for the Saints in a 3-3 draw.

Also picking up a Division Two point were Crowland Town Reserves.

Simon Acton’s strike earned them a 1-1 draw with Netherton United A at Snowden Field.

It was a bad day for leaders Holbeach Bank in Division Four, however.

They went down 4-0 at struggling Huntingdon Rovers to allow second-placed Premiair to move within four points of them at the summit – and with five games in hand.

Fifth-placed Whaplode Drove fared much better, though, as they roared to a 3-0 home success over Stamford Lions A.

Jake Baines, Samuel Lawrence and Samuel Harris grabbed the goals for in-form Drove.

The most exciting game in the division was at London Road, with Long Sutton Athletic Reserves beating Parkside 5-4.

Mark Garner (2), Ryan Brothwell, Jeremy King and Shane Miller bagged the goals to give the Magpies a fifth league victory of the campaign.
