Still time to support Give a Gift Appeal

Christmas is fast approaching and our readers have been incredibly generous in supporting the Give A Gift Appeal but there’s still time to donate – so no excuses!

The Spalding and South Holland Voice teamed up with We’ll Let Your House to launch the appeal and kicked it off with £200 of toys bought from The Spalding and South Holland Voice Community Fund.

Since then readers have been getting on board leaving gifts at the drop-off points across South Holland.

But we can never have too many gifts, so while you’re doing your Christmas shopping please consider buying an extra present to donate to the appeal.

C Carter Estate Agent in Holbeach has now leant its support to the appeal by becoming a collection point.

Support from local organisations, including Home Start, will ensure donations go to families that really need them.

We’ll be delighted if you decide to support the appeal but ask you please not to gift wrap your present – they need to be assessed to ensure families receive toys suitable for their child’s age and gender.

We are accepting gifts suitable for children from birth to age 13. Unfortunately we cannot accept secondhand toys, chocolate or make-up.

There are several collection points where you can leave your donations:

Our offices, 14-16 Winsover Road, Spalding; We’ll Let Your House, Broad Street Business Centre, Spalding; Sainsbury’s, Holland Market, Spalding; Beales Department Store, Market Place, Spalding; South Holland District Council offices, Priory Road, Spalding; Silverwood Garden Centre, Long Sutton and C Carter and A1 Lettings, High Street, Holbeach.

The appeal closes at 5pm on Thursday, December 17.
