Pulling powers to F1 Academy double whammy in Miami

It was a brilliant weekend for Abbi Pulling in Miami as she finally got to stand atop the F1 Academy podium, and then did it again a few hours later.

The 21-year-old from Gosberton put in a dominant performance to convert pole positions in both races to flag to finish victories.
After only picking up her first win in the series in the most recent round of the series in Saudi Arabia when Doriane Pin received a time penalty, Pulling has now won three out of the four races this season to take the lead in the F1 Academy championship.
She dominated the weekend, taking the pole for race on by nearly two tenths from Pin before being half a second clear in the second qualifying session.
The pole sitter led every lap in race one, driving off into the distance and finishing five seconds ahead of Pin at the chequered flag.
She had to hold off Bianca Bustamante at the start of race two, but it was plain sailing from there, going on to win despite Bustamante finding some late pace.
“It was so nice I had to do it twice,” Pulling said. “I’m overwhelmed by the incredible support of the fans and my incredible teams at Rodin Motorsport and Alpine F1 Team.🫶
“I’m looking forward to heading back to base, recharge those batteries and go again.”
The two wins put Pulling on 99 points in the overall championship standings, 37 points ahead of nearest challenger Pin.
