Moulton’s jubilee medal

Those organising Moulton’s jubilee celebrations have been quizzing the village’s children about what they want to see.

Members of the committee organising numerous events in the village recently went to the John Harrox Primary School and Moulton Preschool to discuss the jubilee celebrations in the village with the children.

They talked about the painting competition that all the school and preschool are joining in with, while members of the photography club are entering the photography competition and a school choir is planning to sing on the village green on the Saturday of the jubilee weekend.

The children also discussed the newly erected beacon in the village that some children had seen over the weekend and are planning to join the lantern parade.

The Moulton Preschool children have also been making flags and lanterns for the parade. The committee then presented the children with a celebratory boxed jubilee medal for them to keep.

A spokesman said: “This was funded by sponsorship and fundraising by the committee.”
