Aaron Clarke crashed out of round four of the National Superstock 600 championship while hoping for a strong result at Snetterton on Sunday.

After looking promising for the majority of the 12-lap race he was unlucky to crash out of 22nd place with two laps remaining.

Clarke said: “On the previous lap another rider had run across the grass and rejoined the race, but he left a clump of grass on the track.
“I missed it on that lap but the next time around I just hit it wrong and high-sided.
“I landed heavily but the bike kept going before eventually coming to a stop and falling onto its side, luckily with just a bit of cosmetic damage.

“It’s a shame really as I was looking at a 20th place finish for sure but that’s racing; we will come back stronger next time.”

Next round is at Knockhill in Scotland on June 29 when Clarke, from Kirton, will be looking for a good qualifying position ahead of his race to gain a strong grid position.
