Centenary celebrations

Spalding RFC celebrated its centenary with a series of events.

On Friday evening just over 200 guests attended a Speaker’s Dinner with Wayne Barnes, last year’s Rugby World Cup Final referee, as main speaker
A spokesman said: “Wayne gave a very interesting speech about how he started out as a 21-year-old, rapidly being promoted through the ranks and becoming the youngest referee in the Six Nations and going on to referee 100 international games.”
The weekend also saw two awards presentation events and club hosted three Lincs Cup Finals.
