A familiar feel to Josh’s latest win in Spalding Cycling Club’s latest ten-mile time trial

There was an element of déjà vu about the second round of Spalding Cycling Club’s ten-mile time trial championship.

That’s after Josh Wallis made it back-to-back wins, clocking the exact same time of 19.56mins as he did at round one.

On the night, there was another strong entry of 23 riders who took on the challenge. And, once again, there was a great battle for second place behind regular winner Wallis.

This week it was Chris Ward, Frazer Wallis, Neil Palmer and club chairman Andy Bowser who were battling out for the runners-up position.

Once again, it was Ward who took the honors over Frazer Wallis by four seconds, with Palmer taking a chunk of time back on previous weeks only a further eight seconds back.

Bowser, meanwhile, came home fifth but was still only 26 seconds off Ward’s time.

Elsewhere, the fastest road bike prize again went to the ever-consistent Kieran Buffham – who was only one second behind Bowser’s bike time.

A big performance also came from new man Dan Warner, who leapt up the table to finish 15th.

There was also a rare dead heat for 17th between Tom Drew and Russell Gregory.

The trio of regular youngsters was again led by Jacob Booth, followed closely by Joseph Townsend and ten-mile debutant Ethan Grundy, who came home just behind.

Round three moves onto the popular Barrier Bank course.
