Terrific Tigers roar to Pagnell victory; Saebe inspires Pinchbeck win

Holbeach United reaffirmed their UCL Premier Division title credentials with an impressive 3-1 at Newport Pagnell Town on Saturday.

Jamie Clarke, Danny Spencer and Gary King grabbed the goals for Graham Drury and John Chand’s side, who remain just three points behind leaders AFC Rushden and Diamonds.

The win is perfect preparation for the Tigers ahead of Tuesday’s trip to third-placed Yaxley (7.45pm).

Elsewhere, Louis Saebe struck with six minutes of extra time remaining to give Pinchbeck United a 2-1 win at Skegness Town in the Lincs Junior Cup. Ollie Maltby got the other goal for Ian Dunn’s side.

Moulton Harrox are also in the hat for the next round after beating Skegness United 4-1 at Broad Lane, while Spalding Town also progressed after seeing off hosts Market Rasen Town 3-2.

However, Long Sutton Athletic are out after going down 3-1 to CGB Humbertherm after extra time.
