Holders Pinchbeck United march on with Sunday Cup success at Ruston

Pinchbeck United Sunday remain on course for back-to-back Lincs FA Sunday Cup wins after a 3-1 victory at Ruston Sports.

Will Smith, Aaron Eyett and master marksman Josh Ford netted for the holders to book their passage into the fourth round.

Having become the first Spalding Sunday League side to win the competition last season, a county double would be a top achievement for the Knight Street outfit.

Also in the hat for the last 16 draw are Punchbowl Panthers, who won 4-2 at Great Coates.

Marcus Parry netted twice for the Spalding side, while Scott Burrell and Ashley Coddington also bagged for the Panthers.

Jubilee are out, though, having been unable to raise a side for their trip to Nunsthorpe Tavern.

  • Leisure League Sunday were in emphatic form in the Spalding Sunday League at the weekend.

They raced to a 16-0 success at basement boys South Holland United, with Alex Cammack netting five times.

Marcus Gilbertson also helped himself to a hat-trick, while Macauley Grimwood fired a treble too.

Daniel Greenacre (2), Declan Sands (2) and Dom Mason rounded off the rout to move Leisure League into the top six.

Elsewhere, leaders Sutton Bridge Sunday were held to a 2-2 draw at third-placed Punchbowl Tigers.

Sam Lilley and Kurt Scott grabbed the goals for the table-toppers.

At the other end of the table, there was a rare victory for SAS Wanderers as they cruised past hosts Mulberry 3-0.

Liam Barnett, David Clarey and Troy Lonslow were the scorers.
