Bowmen warm up at Brass Monkey

Archers from Silver Spoon Bowmen visited Pilgrim Bowmen of Boston for the annual Brass Monkey Shoot.
The Brass Monkey is the first outdoor competition in Lincolnshire and attracts archers both from the county and beyond.
Amy Gott won the senior lady recurve event, Ian Macrae won the senior gents’ barebow event with his son Ioan winning the junior compound event.
Junior Hamish Turner, shooting above his age group, came second in the senior gents’ barebow event. Roger Sale won the senior gents long bow with a new club record.
Due to the lack of female entrants, senior lady Lynn Fisher competed against the men and finished third in the gents’ compound event.
