Raising a hole lot of money

Ahead of its summer fair, Holbeach Hospital has been given a boost thanks to a birdie or two.

Malcolm Miller from Tydd St Giles Golf Club raised £1,200 thanks to a golf day in aid of the institution.
A spokesman for the East Elloe Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “Thank you to Malcolm and his wife for all of their hard work arranging the charity day and raising money for us.”
Holbeach Hospital’s Summer Fayre takes place on Sunday, July 16 from 1pm to 4pm.
It’s set to contain a golf challenge and a host of other games and stalls with the hospital’s League of Friends selling refreshments.
Local historian Linden Secker will also be bringing his history of Holbeach displays.
The spokesman said: “It is the first fayre we have planned since before the COVID-19 pandemic and a chance for the people of Holbeach and surrounding areas to join our staff, residents and their relatives for an afternoon of family fun.
“All are welcome and there’s free parking, so it’s a great way for the people of Holbeach to raise funds for the hospital and find out more about it.”
