Wittering are Lambe’s to the slaughter as Moulton Harrox Reserves smash ten

Seemingly unstoppable Moulton Harrox Reserves thrashed nearest ChromaSport PDFL Division One title rivals Wittering Harriers 10-1 on Saturday to extend their perfect record to ten wins from as many games.

Daniel Lambe-Hyner bagged four of Harrox’s ten goals at Broad Lane, with Declan Earth, Martin Sandall, Steve Sinfield, Louis Steadman, Matt Barnett and Jake Farrell also netting in the romp.

At the other end of the Division One table, new-look Spalding United Reserves picked up their first positive result of the season as they drew 1-1 with Netherton Reserves.

Teenage talent Levi Butland put James Langford’s side ahead at the Sir Halley, but Liam Smith levelled five minutes into the second period.

Up in the Premier Division, a Robbie Ellis strike couldn’t stop Crowland Town losing 2-1 at home to Deeping Rangers Reserves.

But Holbeach United Reserves stormed to a 6-2 victory at Uppingham Town.

Down in Division Two, a fantastic four-goal haul from Connah Hunt steered high-flying Crowland Reserves to a 4-2 derby triumph at Spalding Town.

Matthew Cannon and Tomas Ragelis hit back for Town at the Castle, but they fall to tenth in the table. Crowland remain in second place.

That allowed Pinchbeck United to climb up to ninth with a 3-0 win at Netherton United A.

In Division Four, Holbeach Bank stay top after a 4-1 success at Parkside. Andrew Baker (2), Jamie Cooper and Danny Hunt got the goals.

Long Sutton Reserves, meanwhile, smashed hosts Wittering Reserves 8-2.

Shane Miller (4), Mark Garner (3) and Michael Palmer all bagged.

  • Moulton Harrox’s PFA Senior Cup clash at Wisbech Reserves was abandoned due to a nasty injury to home player Stuart Brown (suspected broken leg).

In the same competition, Sutton Bridge United lost 2-1 at Ketton despite a Matt Eaton goal.

In the PFA Junior Cup, Whaplode Drove were 3-1 winners at Farcet United, while Bretton North End thrashed Sutton Bridge Reserves 7-2 at Memorial Park.

Holbeach A progressed in the PFA Minor Cup, defeating Stamford Lions A 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Dan Bergin and Luke Wilson got the goals.
