The recovery operation for the crashed F-15 in Weston Hills is likely to continue throughout the weekend and in to Monday.
Community Policing Inspector Jim Tyner said: “I have been advised by the military authorities that the recovery is taking slightly longer than hoped.”
There is likely to be continued heavy vehicles travelling through Weston Hills and the road immediately next to the crash site is impassable due to the heavy machinery and vehicles.
