READY TO ROLL: Adam Cunnington with his two-litre turbocharged Mini, which is capable of reaching 265bhp.

Tydd St Giles Golf Club chip in to give race ace Adam a Mini-boost

South Holland race ace Adam Cunnington has been given a timely boost in his bid ahead of his first-ever crack at the Mini Challenge series.

Cunnington, a company director at Whitehouse Farm in Gedney Dyke, has been provided with much-needed sponsorship from Tydd St Giles Golf Club and The Pure Leisure Group.

The 49-year-old has been racing since he was 12, competing at iconic tracks such as Monza, Silverstone and the Nürburgring.

He’s also competed in historic endurance events such as the Spa Six Hours and Nordschleife Marathon.

But this year could be his toughest test yet, with the Mini Challenge seeing 32 identical cars take to the grid.

The 20-plus race season starts at Donington Park on April 23-24 and will also support the Blancpain World Sports Car series.
