Top bowls on show at Spalding Indoor Bowls Club’s finals bash

Spalding Indoor Bowls Club’s season came to an end with their finals weekend and annual presentation night.

Spectators were treated to some excellent finals, with trophies presented by world number one and current world champion Nicky Brett.

  • Spalding Indoor Bowls Club’s B side lost by 79 shots to 106 against Long Sutton in Lincolnshire League Division Two – but the four match points they received were enough to stave off relegation.

It was a close game at half way, but Long Sutton got stronger as the game went on and took the victory.

Spalding’s best winning rink was M Sillett, D Groves, D Amess and G West, with a new captain on the day in Tom Bell.
