The Beeb head to Baytree for antiques show

One of the country’s top antiques television shows was in South Holland last weekend.

The BBC’s Antiques Road Trip was in the area on Sunday, August 26 visiting Long Sutton and Baytree Antiques Centre.

Presenter Natasha Raskin and her team saw what Pieces of Eight Antiques had to offer and spent time with the businesses respective owners David Carter and Iain Anderson.

David said of the visit: “Their researchers are filming in the area and rang us to see if we’d be interested.

“They came down on Sunday and did some filming despite the weather being horrendous.

“It was a really good afternoon and I believe they were happy with their visit as they said they would a keep a record of the shops and said they would definitely come back.

“I can’t say what happened or if they bought anything before its shown.

“They told us that it’s going to be aired early next year.”
