Stalker posted sexual photos of his estranged partner

A man who posted private sexual photos of his estranged partner online has been sent to crown court for sentencing.

In a revenge porn incident, Jack Frangou uploaded photos of the woman topless and lying on a bed wearing only a bra to a closed Facebook page.

He then sent invitations to her friends and family to join the page.

Boston Magistrates’ Court heard on Wednesday that his motivation was annoyance that he’d been denied access to his son following the relationship breakdown.

The court was told the woman, who lives in Crowland, was concerned about the boy being with her ex-partner in his declining mental state.

Frangou threatened to share a video of the couple engaging in a sexual act.

He also bombarded the complainant with hundreds of phone calls from caller withheld numbers.

“In one he threatened to burn the house down if she wouldn’t let him see his son,” said prosecutor Paul Wood. “He added ‘you will be sorry if you don’t and you will be gone’.”

At an earlier court hearing, Frangou (36), of Draw Dyke, Sutton St James, had pleaded guilty to disclosing private sexual photos with intent to cause distress on June 1, stalking involving serious alarm or distress between May 21 and June 7, and possession of cannabis on June 8.

On June 4 a long email from an unnamed person, believed to be Frangou, was sent to the woman stating: “I won’t ever stop.”

“The overtone of the message was that he was going to carry on causing misery to the complainant,” said Mr Wood. “It said ‘I have a lot of time on my hands since someone stopped me seeing my child.’”

Frangou had taken to turning up at the property when she wasn’t there and complimented his ex on the redecoration of the young boy’s bedroom.

The court was told the woman had felt so unsafe by his “increasingly unpredictable” behaviour that she moved out to stay with a friend.

In a victim personal statement, the woman, who was present at the hearing, wrote: “The impact it’s had on my family is huge.”

Solicitor Mike Alexander, mitigating, said: “I need to apologise to the young lady at the back of the court.

“Mr Frangou accepts his behaviour was outrageous and has gone way too far.”

The bench said its powers were insufficient and committed Frangou to Lincoln Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be fixed.

He remains on bail with the conditions not to contact the complainant, except via agencies for child contact, and not to go to Crowland.
