Josh Moreman’s first-half goal earned Spalding United an impressive FA Cup scalp as they upset Nantwich Town 1-0 on Saturday.
The striker notched on 28 minutes at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field to sink a Nantwich side that are riding high in the Evo-Stik League’s Premier Division.
The victory earns Pat Rayment’s side £3,000 in FA prize money – and they will now hope for a tasty tie in the second qualifying round.

In the ChromaSport Peterborough League, Moulton Harrox continued their flawless start to the season with a big 7-1 win at Leverington Sports.
Dave Panton’s side now boast six wins from as many games and are level on points with leaders Peterborough Sports with a game in hand.
Pinchbeck United were also on fine form as they eased to a 6-0 victory at Riverside. Tony Edwards (2), Liam Ogden, Corban Oldham, Steven Jucikas and new signing Mark Lovelace netted for Ian Dunn’s side.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Holbeach United Reserves went down 3-2 at Stilton United and Crowland Town were handed a 4-0 home reverse by AFC Stanground.
Down in Division One, Sutton Bridge United earned a 2-1 win at Stamford Belvedere, while Moulton Harrox Reserves drew 2-2 at Langtoft Reserves.
Long Sutton Athletic were beatem 2-0 at home by leaders Stamford Lions.
