The Voice of Spalding and South Holland
Spalding Gymnastics Academy enjoyed another day to remember as they hosted their annual Tulips competition.
Clubs from Bletchley, Sleaford and Rushden joined the Spalding team at their Cradge Bank home for competitions at levels five, four, three and two.
At Level Five, the junior team of Tandhine Snell, Keris Moore, Beth Macfarlane and Darcy Orford won the silver, with Snell grabbing gold on floor and Moore sealing silver on bars.
In the senior team, Samantha Fones, Alex Osbiston and Daisy Cross took the silver medal. There was individual joy too, as Osbiston managed silver on beam and bronze on floor.
Spalding’s junior level four squad of Liberty Foden, Becky Fones, Maisie Foden and Maddie Freeman stormed to the gold. That was clinched after Foden won gold on vault, a feat equalled by Fones on floor. Freeman also added silvers on beam and vault.
The senior team of Elinor Hughes, Dominika Zuk, Emmi Bell and Lexi Coote won the silver, with Bell bagging bronze on floor.
Also taking part were Amelia Fox, Grace Mooney, Abbie Stubbs and Weronika Zuk, who all performed well on the day to get bronze.
Another team gold was won by the junior Level Three team of Alice Baxter, Lucia Walker, Lily Thompson and Miah Farrell.
Thompson starred with gold on the floor and silver on beam, while Walker won gold on beam and bronze on floor.
Farrell chipped in with the silver medal on bars, too.
Meanwhile, the senior squad of Dulcie Baker, Ruby Vertuccio, Elle Keeble and Serena Leadbeater managed to win the silver medal.
Vertuccio earned the gold on bars, while Baker sealed bronzes on bars and vault.
A further glut of medals were claimed by the Level Two team of Emma Goodliff, Jennifer Platt, Amy Loveridge and Hannah Lawrence, who roared to overall gold.
Goodliff managed gold on beam, as did Platt on bars.
Platt also picked up silver on vault and bagged bronze on floor, while Loveridge was also on top form with gold on floor, silver on beam, bronze on bars and bronze on vault.
Not to be outdone, Lawrence took gold on vault, silver on bars and floor and bronze on beam.
