The highlight of their season so far undoubtedly their 3-1 hammering of Evolution and they will be many players’ dark horses to sneak promotion this season. Travelling from far and wide each week, the Le Saux Solid Crew are a team that play with the right attitude.

Shock wins for Posh and Dynamo on exciting night at Surfleet

It was a goal-den night of action in The Spalding and South Holland Voice six-a-side league on Monday night – headlined once again by a huge 10-0 win for Division One leaders Polishborough.

The top flight action got under way with Wet Dream Team playing their final game before leaving the league – and they finished with a heavy 5-0 defeat against friendly rivals Univeg Team.

That’s a sixth successive win for the boys in blue, with Dawid Iwaniec on form for his third man-of-the-match award (MOTM) this season.

Pro Ballers and You’ve Got No Fans then played out an exciting 2-2 draw.

The stalemate drops Pro Ballers down a spot into fourth place, while YGNF continue to improving dramatically week by week. Scott Williams was MOTM in this game.

Mirror Signal Malouda’s tough start to their life on the league then continued as they were upstaged 10-0 by a deadly Polishborough side who have found an even higher gear over the last few weeks.

The pass and move football that the Poles are displaying at the moment would beat pretty much any side as they prepare for life on the national stage in June. They will be representing Spalding, along with Brennans Sports, Posh Old Boys and Old Boy Coaches in Birmingham among 300-plus six-a-side teams as they battle it out for the £10,000 prize.

Dawid Kantak was MOTM for the table-topping Poles.

Then came one of the shocks of the night as Posh Old Boys managed to end their poor run of form but upsetting Notinmymums Forest 2-1.

Quick on the break and organised in the middle, it was a performance of old for Posh – as they offered glimpses of the form they showed in their Division Two title-winning campaign last season. Josh McQuire was MOTM.

Pinchbeck United then picked up a default 5-0 win, but enjoyed a friendly clash with Mail Carters.

Brennans Sports closed out the top flight by managing to secure a 3-0 win against Old Boy Coaches, despite only having five players. Cameron Cope was elected MOTM.

Division Two got under way with Tyler Wright putting in a man-of-the-match performance as Goaldiggers strolled to a physical 5-0 win over Balotellitubbies.

These two stay seventh and tenth respectively.

League leaders Simple FC, meanwhile, bounced back with a win and showed more promise along the way.

A much more refined and polished performance from the boys in white saw them extend their lead at the top to four points after a 2-0 win over Tekkerslovakia.

Hardly Athletic, who have yet to score since joining the league, suffered another heavy loss. This time Mail Carters were the keen recipients of the points with a 6-0 success – and a much needed boost to their goal difference and morale.

A hat-trick from defender Lee Copland wasn’t enough to see him given MOTM, as Joe Lewsey stole it from right under his nose.

Resurgent Dynamo Kiev then pulled off the biggest shock in the second tier with a 5-0 drubbing of the previously in-form The TBME.

Mcauley Grimley was given the nod as their MOTM.

Next up was a close contest, as Sarah’s Boys turned over Le Saux Solid Crew 2-1 in yet another good showing.

The Crew were left rueing their missed chances after been ‘drowned out’ of possession by Sarah’s lads.

Cameron Walker was the MOTM in this one.

The most entertaining game of the division was also a goalless one as Evolution and BK’s Athletic played out an extremely thrilling 0-0 draw at the end of the night.

Both sides had spells of dominance, but a solid wall of a defence for both teams meant the game fizzled into a stalemate.

Despite being reduced to five players for a while, Evolution held on and gain a credible point against second-spot BK’s Athletic.

Evolution keeper Richard Cundall was MOTM in this particular game.
