Spalding United stormed to a stunning 8-1 victory at Evo-Stik NPL First Division South rivals Gresley on Thursday night.
Goals from Gary King (7), Jonny Lockie (26 and 80), Danny Brooks (33 and 73) Kern Miller (51), Luke White (86) and a Josh Eggington own goal (90) at Moat Street gave the Tulips their biggest win in recent memory.
Keenan King (88) did reply for the hosts, but it failed to take any gloss of Spalding’s sensational showing.
The win sees Chris Rawlinson’s side move up 13th in the table ahead of Saturday’s game at Bedworth United (3pm).
