Putting the pride into our district

Your heroes of South Holland are being sought.

Nominations are now open for this year’s Pride of South Holland Awards.

We want to hear of those people who selflessly make a regular difference to others.
They will be recognised in a ceremony to take place at the South Holland Centre in Market Place on Sunday, June 23.
Organiser Jan Whitbourn says she can’t wait to read the nominations.
“South Holland is such a great place to live, and one of the best things about living here is the people,” she said. “The Pride of South Holland Awards give us a platform each year to recognise who do so much and say thank you.”
“As always, none of this would be possible without the very kind support of our many sponsors and those elected members who also donate. The event is always well attended and there are always some surprises, including our surprise, Celebrity Guest.”
“If you know someone who deserves recognition for what they do, please send in a nomination now, we need enough information for a side of A4 paper and if you could send in a picture or two with the nomination, that would great too, this is not compulsory.”
“So many local businesses donate to make sure that this event can continue every year including Bakkavor, Springfields, Molsom’s, Calthrops Solicitors and various District and County Councillors.”
