Pre-season wins for Knights and Tulips

New signing Dan Sweeney scored the goal that earned Spalding United a 1-0 win in their pre-season match at Melton Town on Tuesday night.
It’s two in two for the new signing from Macclesfield as the Tulips continue their preparation for the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
Elliot Sandy’s side are due to face Kempston at 3pm on Saturday and then Blackstones at 7.45pm on Wednesday.
Both games are away from home.

It’s three wins from three for the Knights in pre-season whose United Counties League Premier Division season kicks off on Saturday, July 29.
They start the season with a home game against Ashby Ivanhoe before travelling to Wisbech Town the following Tuesday (August 1).
The following week they’ll visit Maltby Main of the Northern Counties East League in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
On Saturday Pinchbeck beat Holbeach United 4-0 in a friendly with goals from Johnson, Andre Williams, Ben Robson and Ward.
