The four-letter word (which we have partially obscured) with an arrow pointing to neighbours is in a Pinchbeck field belonging to Mark Scotney.

Pinchbeck neighbours’ dispute reaches new heights with insult in field

A Pinchbeck businessman who was the subject of a complaint over “noisy quad bikes” has denied creating a rude retort in a field of his.

The four-letter obscenity is with an arrow pointing towards neighbouring homes.
The field is part of Anglia (UK) Ltd’s site in Mill Green Road.

Neighbour Carol Weston claims managing director Mark Scotney and his friends ride quad bikes over the fields “all day and all night”.
She told the Daily Mail: “It’s absolutely horrendous.
“He thinks because he’s got loads of money he can do exactly as he likes.
“The neighbours here have had enough. [Mark Scotney] is the neighbour from hell.”

Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, told us that Mrs Weston was “very brave” for speaking out. She said much of the ill feeling would go if Mr Scotney reined in the quad bike use.
National newspaper reports said South Holland District Council permits Mr Scotney conditional use of the bikes on the land. Both parties denied this. The council said it had informed Mr Scotney of a complaint.

Mr Scotney told The Voice that he hoped everyone could now move on.

“Although I do not claim responsibility for this act, I do understand the distress that it has caused. I am sure that this act was conducted in jest and no malice was intended, however, I’m sorry that this incident has occurred and has caused distress,” he said.
“As soon as I was notified of its existence, I immediately sought to have it removed from my land in order to rectify the situation.
“We are a family that enjoys the great outdoors and we contribute significantly to our local community, and we love being part of it.”

It is reported that Mr Scotney uses a helicopter at the site. The obscenity can only be seen from the air.

It was spotted by Lee Hamilton Cooper, of Derbyshire Soaring Club, who posted the photo on Facebook, saying: “Look out for this artistic and genius protest. Neighbourly disputes taken to the next level.”
