PDFL round-up: Whaplode Drove out-gun Holbeach Bank in seven-goal derby cracker

Doubles from Harry Grigas and Lee Jackson helped Whaplode Drove beat fellow ChromaSport PDFL Divsion Four promotion hopefuls Holbeach Bank 4-3 on Saturday.

Goals from Tyger Atkin, Steve Coles and George Leatherland proved to be in vain for Bank, who remain second, with Drove now six points behind them in fifth place

Tydd St Mary Reserves also won, with Jack Fowler and Jordan Ripley shooting down Stanground Sports B 2-1.

In the PFA Challenge Cup, a John Ball double helped Moulton Harrox Reserves beat Oakham Reserves 4-0. Danny Lambe-Hyner and Andrew Williams also netted at Broad Lane.

Division One side Spalding United Reserves slipped to a 5-1 home loss against Peterborough Polonia at the Sir Halley.

In Division Two, Tydd St Mary beat ICA Sports Reserves 5-4 in a real thriller – having trailed 3-1 at half-time. Scott Pemberton (2), Tim Lowe (2) and Jordan Anslie bagged the goals.

Fellow third tier outfit Crowand Town Reserves picked up a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Snowden Field.

Simon Acton and Jamie Beeken netted to help Crowland’s second string come back from 2-0 down against Whittlesey A.
