PDFL round-up: Moulton Harrox stun the champions, Crowland on-song at Oakham

Moulton Harrox secured their most impressive win of the season so far as they handed defending Dor-Jan Windows & Doors PDFL Premier Division champions Uppingham Town a 4-0 home reverse on Saturday.

A double from star striker Declan Earth, a Louis Steadman strike and an Ian Bradbury effort off the bench got the job done for Kev Nottingham’s side.

The only negative for them was a red card for Ollie Sylvester as they climbed up to third after inflicting Uppingham’s first defeat of the season.

Also on winning form in the top flight were Crowland Town, who were 3-1 victors at Oakham United.
Joe Cole, Harry Grigas and Juliano Resta got the goals.

However, it was a tough day for Tydd who were hammered at Netherton United despite being 2-0 up at half-time.

Indeed, they shipped seven second-half goals to lose 7-3 despite strikes from Brad Easey (23 & 61) and Mark Easey (14).

Also defeated were Holbeach United Reserves, as a 25th-minute Nathan Rudman goal sank them 1-0 at Oundle Town.

Meanwhile, Division One side Pinchbeck United Reserves were knocked out of the Lincs FA Junior Cup after a 5-0 beating at Pointon.

In Division Two, Crowland Town Reserves won their South Holland derby at Tydd Reserves 3-1.

Jamie Beeken (30), Scott Hudson (38) and Martin Hall (85) did the business for Crowland.

Elsewhere, Long Sutton Athletic Reserves were hammered 7-2 at home by Deeping Rangers Development as Adem Isenovic hit five.

Jack Thomas and Keiron Wykes got the Sutton consolations.

Fellow Division Three side Sutton Bridge United were also beaten 3-1 by Kings Cliffe in the League Cup despite Ben Partridge’s strike.

In the same competition, Whaplode Drove Rovers Reserves gifted hosts Hampton United safe passage with a walkover win.
