Parnell pockets a perfect 57 break

Carl Parnell (O28) got his team off to a great start in the Spalding and District Snooker League thanks to a win and a 57 break.

Unfortunately Sutton Bridge went on to lose 4-2 to Donington C in Division One but Parnell’s break offered some consolation.
Parnell’s win was followed by a victory for Glenn Ryan (O28) before Donington hit back with wins from Neil Favell (O7), Mat Turner (O21) and Shaun Pickering (R14).
Services C jumped up to second place thanks to a 5-1 away win over Bourne SC C.
Services took the first four frames before Kevin Fitter (O21) fell to Martin Ulyatt in the final frame.
The loss leaves Bourne in third.
Bourne SC A are still top but there’s just one point in it now after they went down 5-1 away to Services A.
Vince Fitter (O35) pipped Ian Gibson (R7) to the win by one point to get Services off to a good start.
Phil Spencer (O7) saw off Mark Gray (O105), before Oliver Player (O28) took a frame back for Bourne.
Martin Spencer (O21) and Kev Emerson (R14) took the final two frames for the match win.
Pyramid A have moved off the bottom of the table following a 4-2 win over Bourne SC B.
Victor Rouse (scr), Matthew Chapman (O7) and Steven Twell (R7) were the winners.
Boundary A have dropped to fourth, despite a 4-2 win over Holbeach A, while Holbeach C saw Pyramid C off 4-2 and clubmates Holbeach D had a good 5-1 win over Consti E.
Consti G are still flying at the top of Division Two, with closest rivals Holbeach B sitting 14 points behind them.
They beat clubmates Consti H 5-1 on Thursday to further cement their position at the top of the league.
Wins from Ady Sibley (O35) (24 break), Martin Deacon (O7) (23 break), Darren Woodberry (O42) (27, 26 and 25 breaks) and Mark Wilkinson (O14) saw them to victory.
Jon Houldershaw (R7) got the consolation frame for the H team, beating Mark Woodberry (O56).
Holbeach E were without a game and so dropped to third, while Holbeach B jumped over them up to second with a 5-1 win over Consti F.
Services D have jumped two places to fifth thanks to a 5-1 win over bottom-of-the table Consti I.
Services E have jumped four places thanks to a 4-2 win over clubmates Services B.
A 5-1 win over Consti J has helped to keep Gosberton D at the summit of Division Three.
Wins from Dan Hanger (R7), James Parrott (scr), Brad Brinkman (O21) and Deac Hempsall (R7) gave Gosberton the victory, while Stewart Davies (O14) took the final frame to give Consti a point.
Whittlesey C stay in second, despite not having a game this week, while Donington B got a good 5-1 win over Pyramid E to hold on to third place.
Boundary B hammered Gosberton C 6-0 to move up a place to fourth.
Winners were Dougie Lythgoe (O21), Mick Walker (O35), Michael Harrison (O7), Wayne Cunnington (R21) and Adam Blades (R7).
