Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes sent from Long Sutton

Shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts for people less fortunate have been packed at Long Sutton Baptist Church.

Members of 1st Long Sutton Boys’ Brigade and 2nd Long Sutton Girls’ Brigade, along with church members, sent 35 parcels for distribution in the third world via Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child.

Brigade team leader and church deacon Corinne Cooper said: “We all enjoyed it. It’s important to remind the children to appreciate what they’ve got.”
