New captain

Tydd St Giles Golf Club ladies’ section recently held the captain’s drive in for 2023 captain Sylvia Illsley.
A competition to guess where the new captain’s first drive would land was won by outgoing ladies’ captain Julie Perry, who donated her winnings to Illsley’s captain’s charity, the Magpie Centre Riding for the Disabled.
Men’s February pairs winners Shane Sleath & Terry Pease 52 points, second Wayne Alder & Clive Barber 50 points, third (ocb) John Kellegher & Brian Newby 48 points, fourth James Horscroft & Stephen Rowell 48 points.
