Moulton Harrox slip from second place

Moulton Harrox were beaten at home by Newborough in the South Lincs and Border League Championship.

They elected to bat first with opener Matthew Barnett returning to the side, but unfortunately being dismissed third ball after attempting to smash one into a nearby cottage.
Regular opener Jamie Juckes (34 from 35 balls) continued his strong run of form, supported by danger man Josh Newton.
Newton cleavered his way to 10 before being gobbled up in the deep.
Juckes chopped and weaved his way to 34 but was caught butchering the ball to backward point.
Jamie Kitchen made his way to 33 before being bowled from a full toss.
Captain Chris Beale blocked his way to 20 from 88, Matt Rose hit nine before being LBW and Harry Lovall 13.
They posted an under par 152 all out being bowled out in the 36th over.
Newborough started aggressively, with the Cambridgeshire boys taking control.
One shy of the 50 partnership Fisher was dismissed, hooking Kitchen (1 for 23) into the deep for a slogged 44.
Other opener Jake Carlin earned a watchful 21 before being pinned in front by Beale (1 for 40) and George Woods (12) was caught by Beale off Travis Harrison (1 for 22).
David Cooper took full advantage of the mid wicket region to go past his 50 on his way to 62 not out from 53 balls.
Newborough won with six wickets remaining in the 30th over.

Moulton Harrox 2nd XI were heavily defeated at Newborough 2nd in South Lincs and Border Division One at the weekend.
After being put in on a tough track to bat on Carl Lamming ripped apart the Moulton batting line up.
He ended with 4 for 16 from nine overs.
Danny Jackson smashed 31 not out as Moulton trickled to 70 all out after 23 overs.
Newborough reached the total after 10 overs, Justin Marchant hitting 48 before being bowled by Ruari Drumm (1 for 10).
