A man who was found guilty of dealing cannabis on the streets of Spalding was given a suspended jail sentence by a judge.
Modestas Stasys, 22, of London Road, Spalding, was searched by police after being stopped on October 26, 2020.
Lincoln Crown Court heard Stasys was found to have 13 one gram deals of cannabis hidden in his buttocks.
The search also revealed Stasys had £360 cash in his possession.
Phil Howes, prosecuting, said police found further drugs when they carried out a search at his home.
This included 17 further one gram deals of cannabis and 20.9 grams of cannabis for his own personal use.
Stasys denied two charges of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply others and acquiring criminal cash but was found guilty of all three charges after a trial.
Chris Jeyes, mitigating, said Stasys had always admitted possession of the cannabis.
Mr Jeyes said it was a familiar tale of a cannabis user falling into the trap of selling some of his own stock to get cash for more drugs.
The court heard Stasys carried out the offences after recently moving out from his mother and had now been free of cannabis for two years.
“He was using cannabis to self treat his own anxiety,” Mr Jeyes added. “But he has now found other ways to deal with that.”
Passing sentence Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight told Stasys: “I am sure you were street dealing to others.”
The judge said: “Spalding is a small place.”
But she added that an immediate jail sentence could be avoided because of the defendant’s commitment to getting off cannabis.
Stasys was sentenced to eight months imprisonment suspended for 18 months, and must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work in the community and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
