Maltby hits hat-trick as Pinchbeck United run riot

A hat-trick from Ollie Maltby helped Pinchbeck United demolish hosts Deeping Rangers Reserves in the ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division on Saturday.

The midfielder fired three in a 5-1 away success, with Mark Lovelace and Elliott Price also notching for Ian Dunn’s side.

With games in hand on every side above them, Pinchbeck still have a chance of a top-three finish.

One of those teams ahead of them is Moulton Harrox, who picked up a fine 1-0 win at Peterborough ICA Sports.

Macauley Grimwood got the sole goal for Harrox, who are now fifth.

In Division One, Long Sutton Athletic remain deep in the relegation mire after a 1-0 London Road loss against leaders Coates Athletic Reserves.

Mark Newton’s goal settled that one.

Sutton Bridge United, meanwhile, picked up a 2-2 draw at Langtoft United Reserves. Joe Harrison and Ben Partridge were on-target for Bridge at Manor Way.

Division One side Moulton Harrox Reserves enjoyed a day to remember as they reached the PFA Challenge Cup final with a 2-0 triumph at Crowland Town Reserves.

David Wilson and Declan Earth scored to settle the Snowden Field derby, with Baston now awaiting in the final.

In Division Two, Thomas Page struck to earn Pinchbeck United Reserves a decent 1-1 draw against high-flying Wittering at Knight Street.

Elsewhere, Spalding Town kept their Division Three title charge on-track with an emphatic 4-1 victory at Ramsey Town.

Martin Sandall (2), Markus Parry and Tom Elderkin all got on the scoresheet as Chris Page’s side jumped up to third.

Tydd St Mary also hit four, as they enjoyed a 4-2 victory over nine-man Hampton Sport.

Stuart Easey, Nick Reims, Michael Ocock and Scott Pemberton grabbed the goals in a super success at Memorial Park.

It was a day to forget for Sutton Bridge United in Division Four. They went down 6-1 at home to Oundle Town Reserves, Kieren Lally getting the consolation.
