LETTERS – Response was spot on

I was amused to read the letter regarding jet engine noise – does he expect a muffler to be fitted to the jet fighter’s engine? The response was spot on.

The noise must have lasted all of five minutes.

This person should have a building site move in next door, apart from covering grade A arable soil, the noise of the forklift trucks reversing for what sounds like miles, with their extremely unnecessary loud beeping commencing early morning through to early evening. Then he would have something to complain about.
