As reported in The Spalding & South Holland Voice on Thursday, December 18, the newly elected UKIP parliamentary candidate for South Holland & The Deepings is calling for a debate on how immigration is impacting the local area.
David Parsons says his party is not against immigration, but wants a controlled points system with secure borders.
Let’s make one thing clear here, across the country the debate goes on, who will pay for the economic crisis.
Working people should not be encouraged to blame immigrants for the cuts and unemployment, we should be looking at the real culprits, the bosses and the bankers.
We do need a better system on immigration by earning entitlements to benefits and making sure wages are not undercut.
We need a fairer living wage throughout the country and more affordable housing complete with an end to the bedroom tax.
Also, let’s debate the NHS, 70 per cent of NHS contracts have been awarded to private providers since April 2013.
£13.5b worth of NHS contracts have been announced in the last two years.
These private companies are profiting from our NHS, privatisation is wrecking our NHS.
The NHS needs more funding and investment to provide better care in all our local communities, including more doctors and nurses.
Just look at our local Pilgrim Hospital, United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust is expected to provide good A&E, maternity care, and other patient care despite the threat of massive cuts to its budget.
Our health service needs our help, we must campaign against these unrealistic cuts and work together for a sustainable service for the people of Lincolnshire and the nation as a whole.
It’s time to care – no more sacked nurses, no two-tier health system, no privatisation.
Let’s debate the NHS.
