Knights set for basement battle to secure league status

Pinchbeck United will look to secure their position in the United Counties League Premier Division as they take on bottom of the table at Nottinghamshire side Selston on Saturday.
The Knights picked up what could prove to be a vital point last Saturday against the other side in the relegation places, Heather St John’s drawing 1-1.
Elliot Foster’s first half penalty after a foul on Andre Williams was cancelled out in the second half by a 50th minute Emile Beckford goal.
But after Monday’s 4-0 defeat to Sleaford Town there’s still work to do against a Selston side who still harbour slim hopes of getting out of the bottom two.
At Sleaford the game was in the balance despite Finlay Armond’s opener, but two goals in three minutes from Jacob Fenton and Tom Ward on 55 minutes sealed the game for the home side before Rodrigo Goncalves added a fourth in injury time.
Selston is a third successive away game for Lewis Thorogood’s side who remain seven points above second from bottom Heather but who have two games in hand.
Knights v Heather: Wilkinson, Floyd, Millar, Sheriff, Worthington, Robson, Dilley, N Stevens, Williams, Burdass, Foster. Subs: Johnson, Vieira, Jaine, Simpson, Henderson.
Attendance: 108.
