Knights look to get back to winning ways

Anstey Nomads 2
Pinchbeck United 0

Ahead of their big FA Vase clash a week on Friday, Pinchbeck United are looking to get back in the goals after drawing blanks in the past two matches.
The Knights, who were due to play at Deeping Rangers on Wednesday night (result not known at time of going to press) went down 2-0 to Anstey Nomads on Saturday.
That followed a 1-0 loss at home to Skegness Town the previous Wednesday.
At Anstey Nomads on Saturday, a side playing catch up with their Uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division fixtures before their run to the first round proper of the FA Cup, the Knights put in a spirited showing but were undone by a double from Harry Wakefield.
Pinchbeck keeper Alex Smith got a hand to his 22nd minute opener but was unable to keep it out.
The Knights were better in the second half and nearly equalised when the returning from injury Neal Spafford’s attempted chip went just wide of the Anstey goal.
But in the 87th minute Pinchbeck were undone when Wakefield grabbed his and his side’s second.
After last night’s match at Deeping the Knights host bottom of the table and winless Heather St John at the Sir Halley on Saturday in what is a 2pm kick off.
They’ll be hoping for a win ahead of the home FA Vase tie with Dunkirk which has been moved to the Friday night (November 11) and an 8pm kick off.
