In with the new captain

Following the AGM at Spalding Golf Club, the new club captain Jim West took over from the outgoing Ben Blom.
West joined the club in 1970 as a junior and is very proud to have become the club captain.
He began his year with his drive-in on Saturday for over 120 golfers followed by a dinner and dance for 80 people in the clubhouse that night, dancing to Mark Lawrence.
West has nominated Marie Curie as his charity to raise funds for during the year and kick-started his fundraising on the night.
West is married to Sally who has just taken over as ladies’ vice captain.
