Hole lot of money netted

A packaging company has delivered £1,150 for charity thanks to a golf day.

Coveris raised the money for the Boston and South Holland branch of the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.
This year’s competition at Norwood Park in Southwell saw 45 golfers take part with Andy Williams from the Spalding office picking up the trophy and £100 prize for winning.
Andrew Wiltshire, Coveris’ operations manager, helped organise the day.
He said: “We chose the Boston and South Holland Group of the MS Society as we know people who have unfortunately been affected by multiple sclerosis.
“It’s a really worthwhile cause and they do great work in the local community providing friendship, support and information to sufferers and their loved ones.
“I would like to thank all our colleagues at Coveris who took part and sponsors Mark Andy, MPS, Lundberg, Arco, Bobst, CV Electrical and High-tech Fire and Security Ltd for their generous support.
“We had great fun organising the event, the team spirit on the day was fantastic and of course we were delighted to raise such a good amount of money.”
Ian Cox, from the Boston and South Holland Group of the MS Society, said: “All funds raised by and those donated to our group are used to support local MS sufferers in the form of social events and wellbeing grants to help pay for equipment including scooters, beds, chairs and home adaptations as well as holidays.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Andrew and all those who took part in the charity golf day for choosing our group and our cause.
“Your support helps us to continue our support.”
