READY TO ROLL: Kevin Van Leuven and Tom Fisher.

G&S Racing Kawasaki duo Van Leuven and Fisher are eyeing points at Brands Hatch

The Wyberton-based G&S Racing Kawasaki team heads to Brands Hatch in Kent for the eighth round of the Superstock 1000 championship on Sunday.

Tom Fisher will be raring to go and seeking a strong points finish after the disappointment of Thruxton when he, along with a lot of other riders, struggled to get to grips with the difficult conditions at the Hampshire course.

Kevin Van Leuven returns to the team after missing Thruxton for personal reasons.

He scored his best ever result on the 1000cc Kawasaki at Snetterton where he completed his race in tenth place with Tom right behind him in 11th. He will be seeking a similar result at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The team found a good set-up on its last visit to Brands Hatch and the riders will be able to go straight into free practice to refresh their minds with the course layout instead of spending time searching for the perfect set up.

Free practice is on Friday at 11.50am followed by the first of two qualifying sessions at 4.15pm.

The final session is on Saturday at 12.20pm and this will set the grid for the start of Sunday’s 15 lap race.

There is a short warm-up on Sunday morning at 9.55am to make sure all is well with both bike and rider for the start of the eighth round race at 2.15pm.
