The team behind the Spalding Festival in 2019

Get ready for festival’s return

It’s just three months until Spalding Festival returns for its fifth year.

The music and beerfest, held at the Castle Sports Complex, has not been staged since 2019 due to the pandemic.

It’s a massive annual fundraiser by Spalding Round Table and Spalding Ladies’ Circle, which has made almost £100,000 in its first four years.

And it’s ready for an impressive return between Friday, May 26 and Sunday, May 28.

With both indoor and outdoor stages for the first time, headline acts include top Madness tribute band Totally Madness and the ever-popular Revolver.

Festival chairman Tom Bradshaw said: “It’s going to be great to put on this fantastic family event again.

“We’ve been as frustrated as anyone not being able to hold it but anyone who’s been to Spalding Festival before will be as keen as we are to have it back.

“It’s a great weekend for the local community and the significant proceeds always support many local good causes. We’re proud of that.

“Spalding Festival is our number one fundraising event of the year and an established success thanks to the public and our generous sponsors.”

This year’s main sponsor is Bakkavor, alongside support from Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens, Ark Property, Hills Furnishings and Bravo Power.

There’ll be 118 beers available with every barrel able to be sponsored by businesses or individuals.
Packages range from bronze (£200) to gold (£500) with free weekend passes included and a range of increasing perks with each.

The gold level, which is limited to 20 sponsors, includes a large banner on the site’s exterior fencing, digital adverts on the big screens all weekend and the business name on the barrel, in the tasting guide and on all Spalding Festival digital channels.

Tom said: “We’re very grateful to our sponsors – Spalding Festival could not operate without their support.

“There’s just one main package remaining – wristband sponsor, which is a very attractive one because everybody will be wearing one.

“We know it’s a tough time financially for many right now so we’re really appreciative of the support.

“We’re also very thankful for South Holland District Council’s help in putting on the event.”

Other attractions across the weekend include a world and craft beer bar, a gin bar, children’s films on the big screens, inflatables and Elite Sports Academy.
