Fun at Fenland’s first fly-in this year

Fenland Aero Club hosted its first fly-in event of the year at the Holbeach St Johns airfield.

Bathed in bright sunshine and with just a light breeze, 35 visiting aircraft arrived at the event, which was organised in conjunction with the Vintage Aircraft Club of Great Britain (VAC).
VAC members flew in from all parts of the country – as far afield as Kent, Yorkshire, West Midlands and Norfolk –to sample the delights of the host club, its hospitality and its great catering.
With plenty of photo opportunities, a crowd of about 100 enjoyed views of classic and modern light aeroplanes, including two former Second World War De Havilland Tiger Moth biplanes and one of only three vintage Auster Arrow aircraft flying in the UK.
