Exhibition a work of art

A local art group’s first exhibition in a while proved a big hit.

Spalding Arts and Craft Society decked out the town’s library with some of its recent creations.

And the feedback was positive as the club looks to hold another one this coming September.

The club’s chair Maggie Goodsell said: “It proved very popular with quite a few paintings sold.

“We will be back in there in September.”

Meanwhile the club’s May meeting saw a watercolour demonstration by Stephen Martyn.

Stephen said he chose the subject to show the beauty and simplicity of watercolour – what you could achieve with big brushes, big washes and a very simple palette of three colours.

The next demonstration will be of creations in mixed media by Lynn Norris on Tuesday, June 7 at Pinchbeck Village Hall, Knight Street, PE11 3RB, 7.30pm- 9.30pm.

Admission is £3 for members and £5 for visitors. Doors open at 7pm.

Details about Lynn and her work can be found on her website https://lynnnorris.co.uk/
