Drings star to as Town win

It’s three wins in a row for Spalding Town as they won a high scoring match at Nettleham.

Fellow opener Freeman and Ethan Lawrence (27) shared a partnership of 71 as Spalding rebuilt.
Aussie Freeman fell soon after for a well made 55 which saw Chris Dring come in to join son Ollie to up the run rate.
They put on 85 at quicker than a run a ball, Ollie hitting six fours and two sixes in his 61 from 50 balls.
Chris had 11 fours hitting 71 from 73.
Nice cameos from Josh Lawrence (32 not out) and a quicker than a run a ball 20 by Nilantha Atapattu saw Spalding post 274 from their 50 overs.
That Nettleham got within 22 runs of that total was largely down to their opener Darius Govender.
He hit an excellent 120 off 103 balls before finally being the seventh man out with the score on 223.
It was another Dring pairing that ended his innings, Barnaby Dring taking the catch off Ollie Dring’s (1 for 21) bowling.
While Govender excelled Spalding continued to take wickets at the other end throughout the innings.
