Davy Shepherd’s display for Warriors in the Spalding Thursday six-a-side League was sheer class last week.
He helped his side move top of the Premier Division table with a 4-0 victory against last week’s leaders Bayer Neverlosen.
Second-placed PSV Hangover have plenty to play for too as they moved up to second. Matt Clay was at his best in their 3-0 cruise against Spaldrink.
It was a similar tale in Division One, as the lead changed hands. FC Buh had plenty to sing about after beating Team Rockstar by the odd goal in seven to replace them at the top.
At the other end of the table Baytree Bush Trimmers remain in deep in trouble after losing 6-1 to high-fliers Rodellega Bombs.
- Maly & Team’s 100 per cent record in the Spalding Monday League’s League’s top flight was never seriously in danger, but they did keep it going with a 5-1 thumping of Univeg Team. Warriors remain tucked in just behind them after cruising home 2-0 against The Predators.
There weren’t as many goals around in The Championship, but Daniel Burg kept icy cool as he led Jimmy Floyd Bottlebank home 2-0 against Posh Old Boys.
Elsewhere, Ryan Howden proved the difference as Tekkerslovakia beat The Heroes 1-0.
Just three points separate the top six in League One – and it’s already shaping up to be a fine season.
Top two Horse and Groom and Bowlcut Wanderers met and shared drew 1-1, but the pick of the games saw Gladiators squeak home 4-3 against ABCDEFC as Cullum Burton took the eye.
