Crowland beat Moulton in title race clash

The Peterborough and District Football League Premier Division title race is set to be an interesting one with Crowland Town ensuring they’re in the conversation with a 2-1 win at ten-man Moulton Harrox.

Goals from Danny Firth and Lawrence Stewart earned Crowland the home win against a Moulton side who were reduced to ten men after just half an hour when Reece Crane was shown a second yellow card.
Nathan Smith netted for Moulton who are third, four points behind leaders Uppingham Town with three games in hand.

They’re also a point and place below Stanground Sports who they have one in hand over.
Crowland are fifth, eight points behind Uppingham and also with three games in hand.
Elsewhere, in the division, second-from-bottom Tydd lost 2-1 at Sawtry despite Marco Martins giving them a 17th minute lead, while third from bottom Holbeach United Reserves lost 4-0 at Netherton.
In Division One there was a 6-2 loss for Holbeach United Sports at Cardea and a 5-2 defeat for Long Sutton Athletic at Deeping United, Aarron Pike and Jamie Taylor with Sutton’s goals.
Tydd Reserves won the derby with Crowland Town Reserves in Division Two.
Kai Scott-Henson netted in the sixth and 12th minutes for Tydd and despite Billy Gibbs pulling one back in the 31st minute, Crowland couldn’t find the equaliser.
Sutton Bridge United won 6-2 at Stamford Lions thanks to an Alex Clements-Limb double plus goals from Jordan Collison, Kurt Scott, Matthew Wayman and Matt Eaton.
