Cleaner admits stealing £5,000 worth of jewellery

A domestic cleaner has admitted stealing jewellery worth £5,000 while working in a home.

The two rings taken by Aimee Ward belonged to Nicola Jowett, Boston Magistrates’ Court heard on
Wednesday.

Ward (37) also admitted stealing a chain and four rings, of an unknown value, belonging to Neil
Greswell from a home in the Boston area.

She pleaded not guilty to two other counts of theft – a ring belonging to Sharon Morris, of the
Spalding area, and two rings and a necklace belonging to Amy Lawson, of the Boston area.

Prosecutor Shelley Wilson said: “All four [matters] were opportunistic and in breach of trust whilst
working in the victims’ houses as a cleaner.”

Ward, of Kitwood Road, Boston, was granted unconditional bail until the hearing for the two denied
matters on a date to be fixed.
