Clarke gunning to build on super start with more success at Brands Hatch

Aaron Clarke is bidding to build on his excellent start to the National Superstock 600 Championship season at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The Kirton race ace, who is again competing for draperRACING, recorded a strong sixth place in the first round of the series two weeks ago and this has filled him full of confidence to replicate this result at the Kent circuit on Sunday.

The riders will do battle on the short and technical Indy circuit, with Clarke again aiming to collect a healthy amount of points.

Clarke’s team-mate Tommy Philp will also be in action in the British Supersport series.

He has come on leaps and bounds over the past year and straight from the off at the Donington Park opener he was recording fast laps and up at the sharp end of the field.

He secured a sixth and seventh place in his two British Supersport races and he too will be chasing more of the same at Brands Hatch.

  • The two G&S Racing Kawasaki riders, Tom Fisher and Milo Ward, will also head to Brands Hatch for round two of the National Superstock 1000 and 600 championships at the weekend.

Fisher will be reunited with his big Kawasaki after catastrophic gear box problems halted his progress in the opening round at Donington Park.

This has now been rectified and he will be anxious to get his 2018 campaign under way this weekend when he will contest two 24 lap races.

Ward was a revelation at Donington Park on his first outing for the team when he rode to a fine fifth place in the stock 600 race and he will be looking to build on that for the Wyberton-based team.

The weather is looking much better for the weekend with a dry and sunny day forecast for race day and that will be very welcome after the terrible weather the teams experienced at Donington Park.
