DEADLY DOZEN: Moulton Harrox have won all 12 of their league games so far.

Bradbury bags brace as Moulton Harrox extend their winning streak to 12

Dave Panton is refusing to get carried away despite seeing his Moulton Harrox side make it 12 ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division wins on the spin on Saturday.

The flawless table-toppers cruised to a 3-0 win over Langtoft United at Broad Lane and remain two points clear of Peterborough Sports Reserves at the standings.

First-half goals from Ryan Wheeler and Ian Bradbury (2) got the job done for Harrox as they delivered yet another dominant display.

But boss Panton insists that he’s remaining cautious when it comes to hopes of lifting the title.

“I thought, like last week, we were very dominant and disciplined,” said the Moulton manager. “We are cutting out the silly mistakes now and the lads have raised their own game.

“We have a good team spirit and the lads are playing really well.

“I’m very cautious of our position and want us to keep our form going as long as possible with good training and performances on Saturdays.”

Knowing Langtoft had taken points from fellow title contenders Peterborough Sports Reserves and Whittlesey Athletic, Moulton knew they had to raise their game for this one.

DOUBLE: Ian Bradbury netted twice for Moulton against Langtoft.

DOUBLE: Ian Bradbury netted twice for Moulton against Langtoft.

They did just that, as a 20-yard strike from striker Wheeler got the hosts off the mark.

Langtoft tried to get back into the game, but great work from skipper Billy King and Matt Watkin in central midfield snuffed out their chances.

Goal number two was a cracker as striker Bradbury finished off a lovely move involving Ollie Maltby and Joe Townsend to fire home his first of the day.

Moulton continued to boss the game before the break and it was no surprise when Bradbury added his second to give them a 3-0 half-time lead.

The second-half was notable for some outstanding defending from in-form duo Ash Coddington and Bobby Patterson, while keeper Lee Kenealy was dominant in the air and inspired plenty of confidence.

Moulton perhaps should have increased their lead through Ben Allen – who replaced Maltby – but they controlled the second half in largely terrible conditions for football.

Saturday sees Harrox welcome Deeping Rangers Reserves to Broad Lane (2pm).

Harrox: Kenealy, Groves, Johnson, Coddington, Patterson. King, Watkin (Tom Panton), Townsend (Clay), Maltby (Allen), Bradbury, Wheeler.

The hosts had Edyjorge Pires sent off, but always looked powerless to resist the firepower of a Harrox side that are now eighth in the PDFL Division One standings.
