Freemasons’ grant to Sneath’s Mill Trust

Sneath’s Mill Trust has been presented with a £1,000 grant from the Freemasons’ Provincial Grand Lodge.

Each year the 74 Masonic Lodges within Lincolnshire have the opportunity to request a grant to support one or more of their local charities – this year from a pot of £73,500.

Fenland Daylight Lodge 9825 at Long Sutton put forward one request – for Sneath’s Mill Trust, which runs the listed octagonal mill building at Lutton Gowts. The trust was set up in 2007 to safeguard its long-term future.

Last Saturday (Oct 8), trustees and committee members were shown around the Masonic Hall in Park Lane before a presentation of the grant.
Freemasonry is the second largest charitable donor in the country and donates millions of pounds to help those in need both inside and outside of Freemasonry.
