Red-hot Parry hits treble in six-y Spalding Town win

A hat-trick from Marcus Parry steered Spalding Town to a crushing 6-0 ChromaSport Peterborough League Division Two win at Parkway Eagles on Saturday.

Parry’s treble, plus a double from Tomasz Rabiega and a Danny Kingman effort, made it three wins from four league games for Chris Page’s side and moves them into the top five.

Up in the Premier Division, Holbeach United Reserves held leaders Peterborough Sports Reserves to a 2-2 draw.

Robbie Cundy and Kieron Rose netted for Omar Joof’s side, who had been 2-0 up.

There were goals galore at Snowden Field, as Crowland Town lost 5-4 at home to Thorney.

Patrick Dooner, Stephen Wells and sub Darren Paling (2) netted for Crowland, who stay in the bottom two.

In Division One, Long Sutton Athletic slipped to a 2-1 home defeat against nine-man Warboys Town.

Adam Fitch was the scorer for Danny Goddard’s charges.

At the foot, Moulton Harrox Reserves moved away from the bottom two with a 2-1 win at Kings Cliffe. Cameron Cope and Declan Earth netted for Harrox.

In Division Four, Whaplode Drove cruised to a 4-0 derby win over Sutton Bridge United Reserves, while Long Sutton Reserves lost 1-0 at Stamford Belvedere Reserves.

Tydd St Mary Reserves were 1-0 winners at home against Brotherhood Sports thanks to Jack Fowler’s strike.

Down in Division Five, Holbeach United A romped to a 9-4 success at Leverington Sports A.
